ABOUT JACKSON
Jackson Champeau is an emerging singer-songwriter who hails from the New York City area, and is currently based between there and Boston (He loves both cities respectively).
Having been a vocalist in various capacities for all of his life, he started taking up piano as a little activity over the pandemic, which led him to establishing himself as an artist who self-accompanies on piano. Drawing from his early upbringings in musical theater, Jackson has an affinity for being upfront in his work and telling it exactly like it is... even when it hurts. His songs draw on themes of longing, cautious optimism, social/political awareness and emotions a lot of people tend to have about life sometimes.
some artists that he takes the biggest influences from are amongst the alt/indie-rock sound strongly associated with the Pacific Northwest. Some of those artists include Death Cab for Cutie, The Postal Service, The Microphones/Mount Eerie, Iron & Wine, Ben Folds Five, Bon Iver, Sufjan Stevens, The Decemberists and The Shins.
He has released a song entitled 'Continental Divide' that deals with a strong distaste over what is happening in the world politically. This song is a part of an album entitled 'Prior Life' which is expected to be released in 2026.
